Q&A

Did your emotions drive any of your decisions – buying, selling, increasing/decreasing your lot size, following your leads? Yes. In one instance, as I gained confidence from repetitive, successful trades, I temporarily adopted a “cowboy trader” methodology and became erratic in my trading instead of maintaining a clear, logical mind. This happens to a majority of traders at one point or another.

Why did you suffer a heavy loss in January? My analysis was completely correct in predicting a very large profit in the market and the excitement of this opportunity got the best of me. I was impatient for this impending success and totally disregarded my trader’s constitution. However, being an educated trader aided me in being able to gain back what I lost the right way.
