ORLANDO, Fla: The Florida Hospital for Women recently recognized Market Traders Institute’s ongoing fundraising efforts with a room dedication at its facilities in downtown Orlando on Sept. 22, 2018. Behind its Trading for Ta-tas campaign, MTI has raised more than $150,000 for the hospital’s Breast Cancer Care Fund, spurring the hospital to display a plaque on the wall with MTI’s “Healing Through Generosity” mantra on it.
“We measure success by the impact that we have on our community,” MTI CEO Jacob Martinez said. “This honor humbles us at our core, as we simply set out to help women in the fight against breast cancer. To see how our MTI community has banded together to help the cause is beyond our highest expectations and we look forward to continuing to set new standards.”
Florida Hospital works with multiple community partners, with MTI one of its longest standing.
“Last year, Florida Hospital’s Breast Cancer Care Fund supported 2,660 individuals with screening mammograms and further diagnostic testing that they would not have otherwise have been able to afford,” said Dr. Louis Barr, Medical Director of the Breast Cancer Program at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute. “Of those screened, 27 cases of breast cancer were detected and those women were then offered lifesaving care at Florida Hospital because of generous partners like Market Traders Institute supporting this vital early detection fund.”
MTI is in the middle of its 2018 Trading for Ta-tas campaign, which includes:
- In September, MTI hosted a golf tournament fundraiser at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, raising in excess of $43,000.
- Employees and corporate partners will participate in activities in October to raise more funds, with MTI’s corporate offices matching up to $10,000 in donations.
